Our Gin Trailer Debut
Gin Chin's Horsebox Gin Bar Hits the RoadOur First Horsebox Wedding Bar Event
Some moments mark real milestones – where you pause and realise how far the journey has come. This weekend was one of those for Gin Chin, as our horsebox gin bar rolled out for the very first time at my cousin’s wedding.
From the early sketches to sourcing the right materials, fitting out the bar, and making sure every detail was spot on, the gin trailer has been a true labour of love. But nothing compares to seeing it in action – pouring its first serves of artisan gin, creating a buzz around the bar, and bringing people together over a proper glass of something special.
A Proper Shake Down: Testing Our Horsebox Gin Bar
If you want to put a new setup through its paces, do it at a wedding. A whole evening of pouring, shaking, and keeping glasses topped up gave us the perfect chance to try the Gin Chin trailer in action. We quickly spotted what worked well, what needed tweaking, and how to keep service smooth all night.
The real highlight was standing behind our own mobile gin bar, serving drinks and seeing it buzzing with energy. There are still a few finishing touches to add, but watching it lit up and filled with happy faces – gin in hand, music playing, and glasses clinking – was a moment we won’t forget.

What’s Next? The Alresford Show in Hampshire
With the wedding under our belts, the trailer’s first big public outing is just around the corner – the Alresford Show in Hampshire. If you’ve never been, it’s one of the county’s best days out, packed with local producers, food stalls, craft drinks, and a brilliant atmosphere.
We’ll be there with the trailer, pouring tasters of our Classic Dry Gin and our Rhubarb and Raspberry Gin, chatting all things gin, and soaking up everything the show has to offer. Look out for the shiny new horsebox bar and come say hello – we’d love to serve you a G&T.
On the Road with Gin Chin: Mobile Gin Bar for Hire
This is only the beginning for the Gin Chin horsebox bar. Our aim has always been to create something that brings people together over proper drinks and good company, and now it’s rolling, we’re excited to see where it takes us next.
From weddings and private parties to food festivals and pop-ups, plenty of plans are already in the works. Soon, we’ll also be sharing details on how to book the trailer if you’re looking for something a bit special for your event.
For now, though, it’s full steam ahead for Alresford. A few last tweaks, a polish, and then it’s back behind the bar – serving gin, mixing G&Ts, and enjoying the day with everyone who stops by.
