The bar
Making a bar can be fun for a few different reasons, depending on your perspective. Designing a bar offers an opportunity to be creative and as we have found to really help show off your style and the brand you’re trying to create.
When it came to creating the bar it’s self, the fridges have been up-cycled and cleaned. Where as the panels and work surface are all come from B&Q. The bar surface it’s self was one big long section. Which was measured to the length of the back wall of the trailer and then cut. That left us with enough of an off cut to use to make the serving hatch section of the bar. To make sure we had the right length of wood, we then cut down the middle of the off cut and then joined it together to give us enough length for the serving hatch. Ones we new it would fit we cut out a notch along the bottom for it to sit over the kick board and steal work which keeps the front bar in place. We also attached two hooks to the bar top, to stop it from flipping over if someone decides rest on it while waiting.
