Gin Chin at Crawley & Horsham Point-to-Point, West Sussex

A Day of Racing, Good Company & Even Better Gin!

Last weekend, we hit the road with the Gin Chin trailer and set up shop at the Crawley & Horsham Point-to-Point at Parham. If you’ve never been to a Point-to-Point, imagine a countryside day out – horses thundering across the course, a crowd of spectators with flasks and picnic blankets, and an atmosphere that’s both relaxed and buzzing all at once. It’s the perfect setting for an artisan gin in hand, and we were more than happy to provide!

From the moment the gates opened, the event was in full swing. Spectators stopped by to grab a Classic Dry Gin & Tonic or try our Rhubarb & Raspberry Gin, and we had plenty of great conversations about all things gin (as well as a few questionable betting strategies). It’s always enjoyable to chat with our customers.

There’s something about an event like this – the fresh air, the excitement of the races, the shared love of a good drink – that makes it so much more than your average market.

A Country Day Out

One of the best things about Point-to-Point racing is the sense of tradition. It’s grassroots racing at its finest – no big corporate sponsors, just local owners, jockeys, and trainers coming together for the sport. There’s no dress code, no strict rules, just a welcoming crowd, and the chance to enjoy the day however you like, whether that’s watching every race intently or soaking up the atmosphere with a drink in hand.

For us, it was a fantastic chance to showcase what we do best. Our hand crafted, small batch, Classic Dry Gin, was a firm favourite for the day – crisp, refreshing, and the perfect companion for standing by the rails and watching the action unfold. Our Rhubarb & Raspberry Gin also brought a unique fruity twist to the mix, with plenty of people choosing the lighter, slightly sweeter serve as they wandered between races.

Looking Ahead

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat, grab a drink, and share their feedback on our artisan, small batch gin. Events like these are exactly why we love what we do – it’s not just about selling bottles, it’s about bringing people together over a shared love of a Gin & Tonic.

If you missed us this time, don’t worry – we’ve got plenty more events coming up, so keep an eye on our socials for the next stop for Gin Chin. And if you want to stock up on your gin supplies in the meantime, you can always buy our Classic Dry Gin or Rhubarb & Raspberry Gin online and bring a taste of race day home.
